Anyone want to purchase it?

I have a BMW 545i with the same engine and I feel your pain. Smoking like crazy, leaking like a sieve, and running rough. The only thing missing is a major coolant leak with will probably come in no time. Anyone want to purchase it?

Is the BMW 5 Series a Good Car? I think, the BMW 5 Series is an excellent car. Few class rivals can match its performance thanks to its potent engines, nimble handling, and smooth ride. It even gets good fuel economy ratings

The E39 is widely considered by BMW fans to be the best pure driving 5 series of the models ever released. Still maintaining the analog feel that performance oriented daily drivers long for while having a high level of luxury and build quality.

The BMW 528i Reliability Rating is 3.0 out of 5.0, which ranks it 13th out of 30 for luxury full size cars. The average annual repair cost is $825 which means it has higher than average ownership costs. Repairs are more frequent for the 528i, so you may experience a few more visits to your BMW shop than normal.
